Gryphon is a saber with a long green hilt and a circular beige guard, as well as a wide and thin guard around the hilt.
Shanks keeps it in a blue sheathe on his right hip, even though he wields it with his right arm; although, this could be because he lost his possible-dominant left arm.

After being imbued with Busoshoku Haki, but not to the point of being hardened, it could block Sakazuki’s magma punch without being damaged.Shanks can also coat Gryphon in a “fiery” aura and use it against his enemies.
